Despite having a very bad cold, Simone had an incredibly successful weekend at Provincial Championships. This competition formally ends the short course season (25 meter pool distance swims) for most swimmers however, Simone’s success means she will be quite busy in Sr. National short course competitions April and May.
These are her results (1 Gold; 4 Silver; 1 Bronze):
50 Free – Gold medal and new provincial champion with a time of 26.86 seconds. (down from previous time of 27.44). She is now #8th in Canadian Power rankings.

The additional conditioning work she does during PEAC time, has really made her a lot stronger in all of her strokes and she has a lot more power when she turns off the walls – so we thank you Mr. N, for the work you have been doing with her at PEAC.
